Visits and Educational/Recreational Activities:

1. On August 1, the facility, together with the Hualien County Government Social Affairs Department, invited Mr. Luo Yin-Sheng, Director of Greedy Bear Design Studio, to conduct an anti-drug seminar.

2. On August 6, the facility invited Attorney Chang Wei-Lin from the Hualien Branch of the Legal Aid Foundation to conduct an anti-fraud awareness session.

3. On August 7, the facility’s psychologist conducted a group counseling session for elderly inmates.

4. On August 8, the facility conducted a post-assessment for the active aging group counseling program.

5. On August 11, the facility conducted recreational and counseling activities for newly admitted inmates.

6. On August 1, 4, and 11, the facility conducted orientation sessions for newly admitted inmates.

7. On August 25, the facility invited Psychologist Hsu Ssu-Ting from the Hualien Branch of the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families to conduct a DUI prevention lecture titled “From the Heart: Understanding My Drinking Buddy.”

8. On August 19 and 26, the facility’s psychologist conducted secondary prevention cognitive counseling courses for inmates with DUI offenses.
