On December 20, 2024, at 2:00 PM, the Christian Prison Fellowship Hualien Chapter, led by Chairperson Zhang Mei-Mei, along with 54 volunteers from TAI-AN Presbyterian Church, Zhuoxi Presbyterian Church, and Matai’an Presbyterian Church, visited our prison to host the annual Christmas arts and cultural event. Through thoughtfully arranged performances, including hymns, dances, and choral singing, the event brought warmth and joy to the inmates, allowing them to experience care and support from society.

      Notably, members of the prison's English Conversation Club performed two classic English Christmas songs, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and We Wish You a Merry Christmas, showcasing their achievements in learning English and their courage to perform. The interaction between the performers and the inmates, coupled with the performers' sharing of personal experiences and faith reflections, deeply moved the inmates, bringing them hope and positive energy during the festive season.

      The selfless dedication and efforts of the Christian Prison Fellowship Hualien Chapter and church volunteers conveyed the power of faith through love and action, delivering warm holiday blessings to the inmates. Chief of the Edification and Section, Zeng Fu-Liang, stated that such activities allow inmates to feel the love from society and play a significant role in facilitating their reintegration into society. He emphasized that the prison will continue to encourage and support more community organizations in participating in educational, cultural, and artistic activities, providing inmates with more opportunities for positive growth.At the conclusion of the event, many inmates expressed their gratitude, feeling that society had not abandoned them but instead offered abundant care and support.
